Anna Maria Abbona Dolcetto Dogliani Sori Dij But 2021
$35.90
Possibly a candidate for Italy’s least understood grape varietal, Dolcetto hails from Italy’s greatest wine region – Piemonte. Of the seven dolcetto producing sub-zones, Dogliani (south of Barolo) is regarded as the best. The varietal has grown there since the 14th century and is planted on the best sites. A dark purple wine with abundant fruit, particularly blueberry, but also no shortage of acidity and tannin this is a superbly balanced drop.
