Arianna Occhipinti has clocked up over 20 vintages and still hasn’t celebrated her 40th birthday! Working in her native Vittoria where Frappato is king, her wines display brightness, elegance, energy and utter drinkability. Underneath the red sandy soil lies 10 metres of limestone, a “sponge” which collects water and confers minerality, freshness and length to the wines.
“SP 68” is named after the provincial road that passes in front of the winery. It is said to be a wine road since Phoenician times!
