Riondo "Casalforte" Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2019
Casalforte Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is the boldest expression in the Casalforte range, produced by Collis Heritage, a grower-owned company representing over 2,000 small-scale farmers across the Veneto. These growers provide the fruit from hillside vineyards where traditional methods still shape the wines—methods like the drying of grapes for Amarone.
Made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, the grapes are naturally dried in hillside warehouses until January, concentrating their sugars and flavours. After a long, slow fermentation, the wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels, building richness and complexity.
The result is a deep garnet red wine with aromas of cherry liqueur, cinnamon, walnut, and dried flowers. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and velvety, with notes of black cherry, vanilla, and roasted coffee.
