Riondo "Casalforte" Valpolicella Superiore DOC 2021
Casalforte Valpolicella Superiore DOC is a polished, well-balanced red produced by Collis Heritage, a company majority-owned by over 2,000 small growers across the Veneto. These growers have cultivated the region’s vineyards for generations, and their work remains central to the identity of the wine.
Made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, the grapes are carefully selected and fermented using the Ganimede system—a gentle method that enhances colour and aroma without over-extracting. The wine is aged for 12 months, partly in stainless steel and partly in large oak casks.
It’s a wine of generous fruit and subtle complexity, with notes of blueberry, cherry, liquorice, and a touch of eucalyptus. The palate is smooth and rounded, with soft tannins and a supple finish. A modern Valpolicella grown by farmers with a deep connection to Veneto.
