Vini Contrada Fiano Campania IGT 2022
The Contrada family has been growing grapes in the hills of Irpinia for generations, but only recently began bottling wines under their own name. Based in the village of Candida, in the heart of Campania, the family combines generations of vineyard knowledge with a modern vision, showcasing the region's great native varieties from their own estate vineyards.
Made entirely from Fiano, one of southern Italy's finest white grapes, this wine comes from clay-limestone soils at 450 metres above sea level. The combination of altitude, cool nights and mineral-rich soils gives the wine both aromatic intensity and vibrant freshness. Fermented entirely in stainless steel, it captures the purity and character of the variety.
Unlike many aromatic whites, Fiano offers richness without heaviness. Delicate floral aromas lead into flavours of ripe apricot, citrus and a hint of honey, underpinned by bright acidity and a distinctive mineral backbone. Textured, elegant and wonderfully food-friendly, it is a perfect partner for seafood, shellfish and Mediterranean cuisine.
