Filippi Soave Castelcerino 2021

From the eponymous castle town between Venice and Verona, the Garganega (accent on ‘gan’) grape is taken to lofty heights by Filippo Filippi, who farms their 16 Ha of unirrigated vines in the Castelcerino sub-zone. Rigorously low intervention, this wine is made with ambient yeasts and is unfiltered and unfined. These are the highest vineyards in the entire Soave district where the volcanic soils yield strikingly distinctive wines with delicious mineral character.
